A Two Ride-Weekend

Daylight savings arrived, along with some terrific spring weather. Sunny and warm with just a hit of underlying coolness. After weeks of wind, rain, and cold this was a delicious for riding weekend, as John’s smile attests.

It was so great, in fact, that we rode about 16 miles yesterday, and 19 more today. OK so today was a little tough, both of us being a bit out of shape. I’ve had winters where I just kept riding, but this wasn’t one of them.  Today there we a headwind pretty much any time we had to climb a significant hill. Ask DC blogger  Tales from the Sharrows about headwinds. I have to agree with him.  There’s really no such thing as a tailwind.

Wind or not, it felt celebratory to be out there.  One more photo of this lovely day:
